RIMA Thailand Launches in Rayong

RIMA Thailand has officially entered mass production and supply.

After months of equipment commissioning, process validation, and quality system setup, RIMA Precision Forging (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has recently entered formal mass production and supply. This is RIMA Group's fourth manufacturing base after Tianjin, Hangzhou, and Changzhou, and also the Group's first overseas factory — a milestone step in going global. Today, we take you inside this brand-new facility located in Rayong, Thailand, to explore its manufacturing capabilities and unique character.

Rayong Province is at the heart of Southeast Asia's manufacturing belt. RIMA Precision Forging (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is situated here — a 3,500 m² modern manufacturing facility, where white walls and green trees frame the new beginning of this Sino-Japanese joint venture.

From site selection through construction to equipment commissioning, RIMA Thailand has consistently applied the group's unified standards and management systems. Every machine, every process, and every inspection meets the same standards as our domestic facilities. This is RIMA's commitment to quality — precision and reliability are never compromised, no matter where we produce.

Core Strength: Forging & Precision Machining

FORGING & PRECISION MACHINING CAPABILITY

Forging is RIMA's core capability. The Thailand facility is equipped with a complete production line spanning continuous cold forging, single-blow hydraulic forging and mechanical forging, capable of processing iron, aluminum, and other materials for precision forming.

After forging comes precision machining. The Thailand facility operates CNC lathes, fully automatic NC lathes, and automatic cutting machines. The entire process — from forging to finished machining — is completed in-house, ensuring that every part meets automotive safety-grade requirements for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

After months of equipment commissioning, process validation, and quality system development, RIMA Thailand has officially passed customer audits and is now ready for mass production. The first production line is running stably, and the first batch of products has successfully rolled off the line. This marks a true, production-ready addition to RIMA's manufacturing footprint.

For automotive components, quality is the lifeline. RIMA Thailand has established a comprehensive four-tier inspection system — first-piece inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, and outbound inspection — ensuring that every single part is traceable to its specific batch, equipment, and operator.

Step into RIMA Thailand's production floor, and you will feel the distinctive atmosphere of Japanese lean manufacturing. Kanban labels on material racks are neatly arranged, floor markings are clear and distinct, and every piece of equipment has its own "area of responsibility." This is not achieved overnight — it is the result of years of lean management discipline across the RIMA Group.

TEI (Total Employee Involvement) improvement activities are a core practice at RIMA Thailand. Every improvement suggestion from frontline workers — no matter how small — is taken seriously. From optimizing the placement of a single tool to redesigning an entire process flow, each one is a concrete expression of "making every day better than the last."

Our Team: Japan + Thailand, Simple & Efficient

RIMA Thailand's team consists of Japanese technical, quality and management experts and local Thai employees. Each side brings its strengths — the rigor of Japanese lean manufacturing meets the diligence of Thai craftsmanship, creating a powerful synergy.

Every morning, the entire team gathers for a daily meeting — the "Asaichi" (Morning Market) activity. They review yesterday's data, assign today's tasks, and reinforce safety priorities. Any defects or issues from the previous day's production are put on the table first thing in the morning, and the team collectively reviews root causes and formulates improvement countermeasures. Problems don't wait overnight, improvements don't wait either — a management habit that RIMA has carried on to this day.

Together, the team chants their slogan: "ตัดสินใจอย่างแน่วแน่ ปฎิบัติอย่างเคร่งครัด ok ok ok" — "Resolute Decision, Strict Execution, ok ok ok". Different languages, one conviction: turn every decision into action, and bring every process to its utmost perfection.
